Newborn photography safety

As a Newborn Photographer my main priority is your child’s safety. Many of the images you see on my website are composites. Were several images are put together to create the final works of art you see. Some times you may be asked to sit close to your little one while I take a step back to capture the shot. Newborns have a startle reflex, they can seem fast asleep but it only takes seconds for them to startle & throw their arms up. This is why I always have a spotter close when doing some of the poses. The curled up newborn poses are similar to the close curled up state newborns are in before birth, this is why newborns can be posed like this but some newborns do not like all poses. Each baby is different & sometimes it can be due to how they lay in uterus, whether they have wind or just how sleepy they are that day. I work with each baby uniquely. By tuning in to baby & reading their cues I can ensure they’re comfortable & safe while capturing amazing newborn images to cherish forever. Prior to your session we talk about what images you love & why. This helps me plan your session. Each image is worked on after the session to create works of art.
